Notice Board

See what's on our Calendar
  • Our nursery re-opens to the public after Xmas, on the 9th January.
  • Did you know you can now bring your old plastic pots and trays to our new pot recycling skip bin to be recycled into irrigation pipes, garden pots, bins, tubes, crates, and much more! And what a better week to do it than during National Recycling Week!  This service is proudly provided for FREE to the community by the program's generous sponsor Mooloolah Lions Club (thanks!), and us at MRL.
Only black plastic pots, black plastic trays, no clear plastics will be accepted unfortunately. They must have most soil removed and be dropped off to our staff at the counter during our nursery open hours (Wednesday 8am-4pm and Saturday 9am - 1pm).
  • Have you heard about our latest project, with Seqwater?! We are looking for landholders in the Ewen Maddock Dam catchment who are interested in improving the quality of their land. Read our project page here.
  • Now is the perfect time to become a Mooloolah River Landcare member.  For as little as $15/year, our members receive amazing benefits including:
             - free plants annually
             - 10% discount on plants and toad traps
             - 'first dibs' on events and workshops
             - invitations to members events & more!
  • Our nursery is open to the Public two days a week (Wednesday 8 - 4pm and Saturday 9am - 1pm).  We have safety measures in place to make serving and transactions Covid-safe.  Looking forward to seeing you soon!
  • We'd love to recognise and thank Sunshine Coast Council who proudly support our activities through the Environmental Levy Grant's program.
  • We produce Cane toad tadpole traps and baits as part of UQ's Cane Toad Challenge!  If you want to be a part of reducing Cane toad numbers, see this link: Cane Toad Tadpole Trapping
  • Native Plant Nursery Latest  Species List now available.
  • We always need seed. It is important that the seed be correctly identified. Often this is not possible just from the seed so please bring in a small branch and one or two fruit or let the nursery know and someone can come to you. You can also check the guidelines and calendar and be on the lookout for other seed. Click here
