Wednesday 9 th April, officers from Sunshine Coast regional council were checking along the Mooloolah river in Glenview for Hygrophila. We tackled 10km of river starting at Skarffe Road and finished parallel with the carpark near the Caloundra turn off. In some places the vegetation was very thick jungle. Unfortunately we found Hygrophila in small and large patches all the way down. We are yet to finish the surveillance to determine the extent of the infestation or to talk to landowners to educate them of it’s presence and control options.
